Job summary

Great Wolf Lodge is seeking a Lead Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team in Mason, OH. The role involves supervising line cooks in the absence of the Sous Chef, overseeing food preparation and inventory, and assisting with training staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least three years of cook experience, plus knowledge of sanitation and the ability to use a POS system. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Three years of cook experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation.
• Ability to operate POS system and Kitchen Display System.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Sous Chef and assist in preparing and presenting all foods.
• Maintain and follow department procedures; complete daily logs and food waste sheets.
• Oversee kitchen staff, monitor food production and presentation.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure smooth daily prep and end-of-shift duties.
• Coordinate with hotel staff for efficient operation and service to guests.
• Assist in peak times and redeploy to support operations as needed.
• Prepare food according to recipes and adjust for flavor with chef guidance.
• Monitor inventory and replenish as needed; ensure FIFO and health code compliance.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitary; ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Direct dishwashers on dish and utensil levels; maintain clean cookware.
• Prepare closing reports and shift information for F&B team.
