Job summary

Powder Mountain in Utah is seeking a Lead Lift Operator for the Lift Operations team. This seasonal role (FT & PT) requires safe operation of lifts, loading and unloading guests, and strict adherence to safety protocols at elevations around 9,000 ft.

You will maintain lift areas, document daily logs, coordinate with Ski Patrol and maintenance for guest safety, and provide excellent service while you help guests navigate the mountain and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a guest facing role.
• Desire to be positive and motivated during busy season and inclement weather.
• Desire to work at 9,000ft in exposed weather conditions.
• Ability to work early mornings for lift start up.
• Communicate professionally with all Powder Mountain departments.
• Be polite and friendly to team members, other departments, and guests.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work occasional overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays as requested.
• Great attitude, positive mindset.
• Ability to ski/snowboard to all lifts located throughout Powder Mountain.

Responsibilities

• Operate lift, load guests, and follow safety protocols.
• Alert Lift Maintenance and Lift Operations Manager when equipment fails.
• Partner with Ski Patrol for guest safety.
• Follow lift training and procedures.
• Maintain lift signs and keep work area clean.
• Understand multiple lift types and use them safely across Powder Mountain.
• Safely load and unload guests from lifts.
• Ensure efficient and friendly management of assigned lift and staff.
• Submit Daily Logs, Stop Logs and EoD logs as required.
• Welcome guests and manage mountain access with courteous service.
