Job summary

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections seeks a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, to supervise clinical staff, oversee psychological evaluations, and direct mental health services for inmates at SCI Greene. This full-time leadership role develops policies, guides treatment decisions, chairs review teams, and ensures compliance with professional standards.

Work hours are 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday to Friday; telework is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience and Training: One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title) or
• One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.

Responsibilities

• Direct psychological staff, guide diagnostic work, and support therapeutic interventions for inmates
• Develop policies, integrate new procedures, and lead key mental health service initiatives
• Chair review teams, coordinate mental health discussions, and support critical response efforts
• Set clinical standards, evaluate measures, and update stability ratings as needed
• Assess test interpretations and prepare comprehensive psychological and behavioral reports
• Advise staff on mental health treatment needs, support specialized units, discuss management plans, and testify in legal proceedings
