Job summary

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses in Florida is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department, drive sales, monitor costs, and ensure excellent customer service. You will supervise staff and partner with the General Manager on staffing and training.

The role requires an optical license, ABO/NCLE certification, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong store operations knowledge and standards for success.
• Excellent oral and written communication for team management.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning work and progress tracking.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• ABO and NCLE Certified.

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals.
• Oversees the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Conveys commitment to outstanding customer service by the team.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Implements merchandising, pricing promotions and initiatives.
• Supervises Opticians and CL Sales associates, guiding day-to-day tasks.
• Assists GM with staffing forecasts, recruitment and retention.
• Leads and coaches associates toward sales and service goals.
• Mentors Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
