Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks an HR Leave of Absence & Accommodations Specialist to lead FMLA/ADA programs and complex employee cases in Raleigh on a hybrid, 06+ month contract.

You will navigate leave policies, accommodations, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with HR, Legal, and Benefits teams. The role requires strong case-management, documentation, and communication skills, plus hands-on experience with Workday and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in relevant experience, or Master's with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Progressive experience in Leave of Absence, Disability Management, Workplace Accommodations, Benefits, Employee Relations, HR Operations, or HR Shared Services.
• Hands-on experience with leave administration and complex employee cases.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA and ADA/ADAAA.
• Experience with ADA interactive process and accommodation requirements.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local leave requirements.
• Experience handling sensitive or escalated employee matters.
• Experience with Workday and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on Leave of Absence and Accommodations policies, processes, case practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and advise on complex and escalated leave, disability, accommodation, and return-to-work cases.
• Support the ADA interactive process, including documentation review and outcome communication.
• Draft complex employee and manager communications that may require Legal review.
• Provide guidance to teammates regarding case routing, escalation criteria, and standard work.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve case quality and compliance.
• Partner with HR, Legal, Employee Relations, Benefits, Payroll, Risk, and leadership to resolve complex matters.
• Support case audits and process adherence activities.
