Job summary

Associa in Richardson, TX is seeking an Instructional Design Lead to guide a small team of instructional designers in creating high‑quality, outcome‑driven learning experiences for internal and client audiences.

The role blends instructional design expertise with leadership, quality assurance, and collaboration with L&D, Product Enablement, and Operations to lift the capability and consistency of centralized learning solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive instructional design or learning experience.
• Experience supervising or coaching instructional designers.
• Hands-on experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline) and multimedia.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and blended learning.
• Ability to review deliverables and provide actionable feedback.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
• Experience designing scalable SaaS or tech training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of learning experiences grounded in clear outcomes and adult learning principles.
• Establish and reinforce design standards, workflows, templates, and review checkpoints for the L&D team.
• Translate complex business processes into structured, scalable learning solutions.
• Guide the team in selecting modalities (eLearning, ILT, blended, sims, job aids).
• Ensure learning solutions drive knowledge, confidence, behavior change, and measurable outcomes.
• Conduct quality reviews of deliverables and provide actionable feedback.
• Maintain content standards and accessibility across materials.
• Lead content library reviews for consistency and relevance.
• Partner with stakeholders to define measurable outcomes and evaluation approaches.
• Embed assessments and feedback loops into deliverables.
• Translate evaluation insights into content improvements and impact.
