Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Quality Engineer - Continuous Improvement to embed Lean within manufacturing operations and lead cross-functional projects in support of Quality & Mission Assurance goals.

The role emphasizes practical application of continuous improvement, coaching leaders and teams, and sustaining gains with metrics across multiple sites, with up to 50% travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 10+ years quality engineering experience; or Graduate Degree with 9+ years; or 15+ years if no degree.
• 4+ years applying continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• 4+ years facilitation and coaching in professional environment.
• 4+ years working directly with shop-floor teams.
• 2+ years APQP and Process Control experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean and continuous improvement methods within manufacturing operations.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and standard work development.
• Improve flow, reduce waste, and strengthen operational stability.
• Embed daily management, visual management, and leader standard work.
• Partner with Quality and Manufacturing Process leaders to ensure improvements support built-in quality.
• Coach leaders and teams on continuous improvement behaviors and mindset.
• Sustain gains through metrics, standardization, and follow-up.
• Share best practices and lessons learned across manufacturing sites.
