Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply Lean and CI within manufacturing operations, driving waste reduction and process stability. You will embed daily management, coach teams, and collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing leaders to sustain gains.

The role emphasizes practical CI application with travel up to 50% and required security clearance eligibility. Extensive CI experience in defense/aerospace environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor's degree required with significant quality engineering experience (9+ years) or equivalent experience.
• : 4+ years applying CI in manufacturing.
• : 4+ years facilitation & coaching in a professional setting.
• : 4+ years working directly with shop-floor teams.
• : 2+ years APQP or Process Control knowledge.
• : Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.

Responsibilities

• Apply Lean and CI methods directly within manufacturing operations.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and value stream mapping.
• Develop standard work and visual management to stabilize processes.
• Embed daily management and leader standard work.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Process leaders to ensure built-in quality.
• Coach leaders and teams on CI behaviors and mindset.
• Sustain gains with metrics, standardization, and follow-up.
• Share best practices across sites and travel as needed (up to 50%).
