The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, a background in manufacturing or defense environments, and the ability to travel ~10-20% as needed, with eligibility for a U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence within manufacturing, engineering, defense, aerospace, or similar environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with minimum 4 years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 2+ years, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean principles across the Fort Wayne site with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and programs.
• Conduct value stream mapping to identify waste and opportunities.
• Plan and facilitate Kaizen events; ensure sustainment with visuals and KPIs.
• Provide Lean coaching and mentoring at all levels.
• Establish, track, and analyze KPIs to support OE strategy and decision-making.
• Apply Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone, and PDCA for problem solving.
• Manage CI projects end-to-end aligned with Space strategic goals.
• Develop and implement standard work across operations.
• Support change management to ensure adoption and sustainment.
