Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Camden, Arkansas is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to drive inspection standards, process controls and PFMEA activities across programs. The role interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers and customers to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality systems, root-cause analysis, and experience with AS9102, LEAN methods and data analytics tools such as Power BI and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior quality engineering experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior engineering related experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Process audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program design and process documents for the area of responsibility include program quality requirements and that products are inspectable.
• Independently reviews manufacturing planning to ensure appropriate design engineering requirements implementation, material traceability maintenance, quality record maintenance and operator and inspector sign-offs; designates inspection/verification needs.
• Lead PFMEA efforts to quantify and reduce risk using quality tools.
• Participate in improvement teams to reduce risk through mistake-proofing principles.
• Inspect method development and implementation and monitor new or existing inspection methods to ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
• Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to plans and enterprise requirements.
• Perform First Article Inspection per AS9102.
• Support HAR activities and manage Quality Documentation Control Center (QDCC).
• Lead Material Review Board activities and handle disposition decisions.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement.
• Provide practical solutions to technical problems using quality engineering tools.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
