Job summary

DashMart Kitchens (DMK) within DoorDash is seeking a Kitchen Shift Lead to run shift-level kitchen execution in a shared DashMart facility. You will lead Kitchen Operations Associates and Shift Coordinators, ensuring food quality, safety, cleanliness, order accuracy, and operational excellence.

This role requires experience in food service or kitchen operations, strong leadership, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Willing to complete (or already hold) Food Handler’s Certification.
• Experience in fast-paced kitchen or food service environments.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned kitchen shifts, ensuring proper food prep, cleanliness, safety, and inventory practices.
• Ensure all orders are prepared accurately, on time, and meet quality standards.
• Lead and delegate tasks to Kitchen Operations Associates; escalate challenges as needed.
• Coach team on food safety and cleanliness while modeling professionalism and urgency.
• Collaborate with DashMart Shift Leads and Site Leadership to align kitchen and warehouse ops.
• Support facility standards and suggest workflow improvements.
• Foster a collaborative ‘One Team’ environment.
