Job summary

DoorDash DashMart Kitchens is seeking a Kitchen Shift Lead to supervise kitchen operations within a shared DashMart facility, guiding Kitchen Operations Associates and Shift Coordinators to maintain food quality, safety, cleanliness, and on-time order execution.

You will collaborate with DashMart site leadership, model urgency and professionalism, lift up to 50 lbs, and ensure FIFO, inventory control, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to obtain or hold a Food Handler’s Certification.
• Experience leading in food service, kitchen operations, or grocery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong leadership, reliability, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned kitchen shifts, ensuring strong execution of food preparation standards, cleanliness, safety, and inventory practices.
• Ensure all orders are prepared accurately, on time, and meet quality and food safety standards before handoff.
• Lead and delegate tasks to Kitchen Operations Associates, serving as the primary escalation point for kitchen-related operational challenges.
• Coach team members on proper food safety, cleanliness, and execution standards while modeling professionalism and urgency.
• Partner with DashMart Shift Leads and Site Leadership to align kitchen and warehouse operations.
• Support shared facility standards and contribute ideas to improve workflows, efficiency, and site performance.
• Foster a collaborative “One Team” environment within the four walls.
