Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking Journeyman Electricians to support and supervise electrical work for customers across Massachusetts. Responsibilities include coordinating apprentices, installing and upgrading electrical systems, and ensuring safety and code compliance on projects.

Candidates should hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License, possess basic computer skills, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and customer-interaction abilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Must demonstrate basic fundamental knowledge of using a computer.
• Thorough understanding of electrical principles, practices, and techniques, as well as current electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to trouble shoot and interact with customers and crews.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Earn credit towards Masters license

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of Electrical Apprentices, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to Mass Save and company best practice for safety and quality.
• Conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback to management, and ensure Electrical Apprentices receive proper training.
• Repairing damage by crews to light fixtures, wiring, fuses, or anything electrical related.
• Installing electric thermostats.
• Wiring heat pump, boiler, furnace electrical components and hard-wiring smoke detectors.
• Installing bath fans.
• Service and panel upgrades
• Knob and tube remediation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as safety regulations and industry standards.
• Pulling and closing permits in all areas where required.
• Complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and reports related to electrical installations, inspections, and permits.
• Ensure that all required permits and licenses are obtained and kept up to date for each project.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
