Job summary

HomeWorks Energy, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support, coordinate, and supervise electrical work for customers across Massachusetts.

The role includes overseeing Apprentices, wiring HVAC components, upgrading panels, and completing knob & tube remediation and safety tasks. Ideal candidates hold a Journeyman license, have at least 1 year of relevant experience, and are proficient with basic computer tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Must demonstrate basic fundamental knowledge of using a computer.
• Thorough understanding of electrical principles, practices, and techniques, as well as current electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to trouble shoot and interact with customers and crews.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of Electrical Apprentices, ensuring safety and quality.
• Perform knob & tube assessments and sign-off or quote.
• Install and repair electrical components, thermostats, heat pump wiring, and service panels.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations, and obtain permits as needed.
• Complete paperwork and maintain permits and licenses for each project.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
