Job summary

HomeWorks Energy is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Massachusetts to support and supervise electrical work for customers. You will install HVAC connections, service upgrades, and ensure safety and code compliance while guiding Apprentices.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Journeyman license, and at least one year of experience. You’ll perform knob & tube remediation, wire for heat pumps, and maintain permits and documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Must demonstrate basic fundamental knowledge of using a computer.
• Thorough understanding of electrical principles, practices, and techniques, as well as current electrical codes and regulations.
• Ability to trouble shoot and interact with customers and crews.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Electrical Apprentices and ensure safety and quality.
• Perform knob & tube assessments and sign-off or provide quotes.
• Install electrical components for HVAC hookups, heat pumps, and service upgrades.
• Ensure permits and documentation are obtained and up to date.
• Protect safety standards and ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports related to installations and permits.
