Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to perform installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems in commercial/industrial environments. The role includes reading blueprints, installing conduits and devices, and mentoring helpers on site.

Under supervision of Foreman or Superintendent, you may oversee a small crew and have opportunities to learn other divisions such as low voltage and controls within Amteck. Flexibility for overtime and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Willing to participate in field training and learn additional skills.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit and devices.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of circuiting and read project drawings.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
