Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially supervising a small crew of Helpers and Apprentices. This role offers exposure to design/build electrical projects across commercial and industrial settings and opportunities to learn low voltage, controls, and alarm systems.

You will install, modify and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with other divisions within Amteck.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Must possess and use required company tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and hand or mechanical tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and conductors.
• Read project specifications, blueprints and schematics to lay out work from drawings and documents.
• Lead and mentor on-site teams of Helpers and Apprentices.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
