Job summary

Amteck seeks a Journeyman Electrician 1 who works under a Foreman or Superintendent and may oversee a small crew. You will perform installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, conductors and equipment on commercial/industrial projects.

This role requires reading blueprints, sizing components, troubleshooting lighting and power circuits, and mentoring Helpers and Apprentices on site. Amteck emphasizes safety and quality as part of The Amteck Way.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as project demands.
• Willingness to learn other divisions (low voltage, controls, fire alarm).

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out work from drawings, including underground layout.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on-site.
