Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially overseeing a small crew. Responsibilities include installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems.

Qualified candidates should have 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings, own tools, and a willingness to work overtime. The role offers growth into other divisions such as low voltage and controls.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Own tools required by company policy and able to use them for tasks.
• Demonstrate the Amteck Way in daily work activities, behavior and decision making.
• Able to work project schedules including weekends and overtime.
• Has an interest and aptitude to learn job-related material through on-the-job instruction and observation.
• Demonstrate a team-player mentality by listening and understanding directions, working cooperatively with others, and working safely.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and benders.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, branch circuit and feeder conductors.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
