Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent and may supervise a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices. The role involves installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems, with opportunities to learn low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm within Amteck.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial or industrial settings and must be prepared for weekends and overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Electrical installation and repair skills.
• Ability to read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Leadership of Helpers and Apprentices on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and electrical components.
• Install and terminate devices, fixtures, panels, and conductors.
• Understand circuiting and basic troubleshooting of lighting and power.
• Lead and mentor junior crew on site.
