You will drive engineering quality through coding standards, testing discipline, and continuous delivery, partnering with stakeholders to build customer-focused solutions that scale globally.

Formación

• 4+ years of software development experience with Java/J2EE
• Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Solid OO design and software development patterns
• Experience with relational databases, SQL development
• Familiarity with automated testing and TDD with JUnit/Selenium
• Hands-on CI/CD using GitHub and Jenkins
• Containerized deployments with Kubernetes or Docker

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Java Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will guide the design and delivery of backend services and APIs that support enterprise payment solutions. The position focuses on scalable Java-based architecture, modern development practices, and dependable production operation in a highly regulated industry. You will partner closely with technical and business stakeholders to build customer-focused solutions that perform reliably at scale.

The role also includes driving engineering quality through strong coding standards, testing discipline, and continuous delivery practices.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $100,000 – $170,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for enterprise payment solutions
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to support team improvement and efficiency
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver customer-focused technical solutions
• Contribute to the architecture and operation of scalable microservices and distributed systems
• Adhere to engineering best practices in coding and testing

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software development with Java and J2EE technologies, especially with Spring frameworks
• Strong background in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and software development patterns
• Experience with relational databases, including schema design and SQL development
• Familiarity with automated testing and Test Driven Development principles using tools like JUnit and Selenium
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins
• Proficiency in deploying and operating containerized applications with Kubernetes or Docker
