Job summary

Cognizant in Irving, TX is seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Engineer for a hybrid role combining hands-on development with modern cloud and DevOps practices. You will work on Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and APIs in a collaborative Agile environment.

The role requires 10+ years of full stack Java experience, strong API design (GraphQL/REST), containerized apps, and cloud familiarity (Azure or AWS). Expect CI/CD with Jenkins/Git, and a path toward impactful architecture within Cognizant's

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a full stack Java developer with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL.
• At least 5 years of developing APIs with GraphQL or REST.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot/Spring Batch/Spring Cloud).
• Designing and implementing microservices end to end.
• Strong understanding of containerized applications.
• DevOps tooling experience (Jenkins/Git/Rancher).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (Mockito/JUnit).
• Integration experience with Ping Federation & Apigee.
• Cloud experience in Azure is a plus.
• Experience with SQL Server or Cassandra is a plus.

What you need to have to be considered:

• Skilled Full stack Java Developer with 10+ years of experience using Java, Spring boot and SQL.
• At least 5 years of experience with development of API's with Graph QL or REST

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $68K – 135K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
