Job summary

Cognizant seeks a seasoned software engineer in Coppell, TX for an AI-enabled inquiry management and call center agent assist project. You will design, develop, test and deploy software using .NET technologies, REST APIs and modern UI frameworks.

You have 6+ years in enterprise software, strong C#/.NET, Azure experience, and hands-on UI skills with Angular, TypeScript and HTML/CSS. This hybrid role requires three days in a client office and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years in a structured environment working on systems, applications, programming, development, testing, implementation, and deployment.
• Experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs and modern UI frameworks.
• Experience with cloud development (Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile principles and SCRUM ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, program, test, implement and deploy software applications using documentation, processes and quality standards.
• Ensure coding accuracy, create technical documentation and manage versions and quality.
• Collaborate with project participants to maximize productivity and timely completion.

In This Role, You Will

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• 6+ years in a structured environment working on systems, applications, programming, development, testing, implementation, and deployment required.
• 6+ years of in-depth knowledge and experience in: C#, .NET Framework 4.5+, .Net 5+, T-SQL, REST API, Entity Framework
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience on modern UI development with Angular 10+, bootstrap, CSS 3+, HTML 4+, TypeScript
• Experience writing W3C compliant accessible HTML5 markup.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript command-line tools such as npm
• Software development lifecycle using structured processes.
• Practical knowledge of Agile principles and prefer ability to lead SCRUM ceremonies.
• Experience with cloud development (Azure preferred)
• Competent with tool use to manage the following functions: code management, unit testing, integration testing, version control, and prototyping.
• Mortgage origination experience (preferred)
• Understand a broad range of technologies and able to think in terms "enterprise wide" solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $55K-114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
