Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer in the United States to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications using Java and Angular. You will build RESTful APIs and microservices, implement data access layers with JPA/Hibernate, and collaborate with architects, product owners, and UX teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

6+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and modern software development methodologies.
Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
Hands-on experience with Angular 17+ and modern TypeScript development.
Experience implementing data access layers using JPA/Hibernate and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
Experience with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging technologies supporting event-driven architectures.
Strong knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Camunda.
Knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

About the role

As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications using modern Java and Angular technologies. You will be a valued member of the development team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

In this role, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and modern software engineering practices.
Build and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions that deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing applications.
Develop and enhance user interfaces using Angular 17+ while collaborating closely with front-end and UX teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until September 11, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 and $114,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
