Job summary

Synechron in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Lead Java Developer / Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy enterprise Java applications. You will work directly with clients, product teams, and engineering groups to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions while leveraging Devin AI in development workflows.

You will lead architecture, implement microservices with Spring Boot, ensure security and performance, and mentor teams as they deliver AI-assisted software

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development experience.
• Extensive Java 11/17+ with Spring, Hibernate, RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on with Devin AI for development workflows.
• Ability to leverage Devin for code generation and enhancements.
• Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software engineering platforms.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging platforms.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise transformations and modernization.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) are a plus.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services/Healthcare/Telecom/Retail domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise Java applications.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using modern Java technologies.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Work directly with clients to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Deploy, configure, and operationalize Devin AI across software engineering teams.
• Build POCs, prototypes, and production-grade applications using AI-assisted development methodologies.
