Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Lead Java Developer/Forward Deployed Engineer to architect, develop and deploy enterprise Java applications. You will work closely with customers, product teams and engineering orgs, delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Spring Boot, microservices and AI-assisted workflows.

The role requires 10+ years of Java experience, deep knowledge of Java 11/17+, RESTful APIs, design patterns, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 10 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, Multithreading and Concurrent Programming.
• Hands-on experience with Devin AI for software development workflows.
• Ability to leverage Devin for code generation and enhancement.
• Design Patterns and SOLID Principles.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software engineering platforms.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging platforms.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise transformations and modernization projects.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) are a plus.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Telecom, or Retail domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise Java applications.
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using modern Java technologies.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Deploy, configure, and operationalize Devin AI across software engineering teams.
• Build proof-of-concepts (POCs), prototypes, and production-grade applications using AI-assisted development methodologies.
