Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is a non-profit rehabilitation services organization serving individuals with disabilities. The Lead Worker – Janitor role provides support, guidance, and supervision to cleaning crews to meet contract guidelines and ensure safe operation of equipment.

The position involves training staff on standard procedures, performing janitorial tasks, and stepping in for general cleaning as needed. A strong emphasis on communication and disability awareness guides daily work.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in commercial custodial or maintenance.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
• Ability to train staff on safety procedures and operating SOPs.
• Valid REAL ID required to enter the worksite.
• Must pass a background check and obtain clearance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and other areas; operates cleaning machines and polishes fixtures.
• Assigns tasks, inspects work, and requisitions supplies/equipment.
• Trains staff on procedures; addresses issues with staff/customers; escalates as needed.
• Plays a lead role during inclement weather; operates power equipment; handles snow removal where contracted.
• Completes Didlake training and follows safety guidelines.
