Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas; uses brooms, mops, and powered cleaning machines; polishes metal fixtures; washes windows and sills; empties wastebaskets; replenishes janitor closets.
• Assigns tasks and distributes supplies to employees; inspects work for standards; requisitions supplies/equipment from Supervisor, APM, or PM.
• Trains employees on tasks, equipment, and safety; handles complaints and resolves problems with staff and customers; refers to supervisor as needed.
• Fills in for general cleaning staff and operates power equipment; in winter, removes snow from walkways and entrances and spreads ice-melting chemicals when required by contract.
