Job summary

PJW Restaurant Group’s Treno Pizza Bar in Haddon Township, NJ is hiring a Sous Chef to work closely with the Executive Chef in planning, organizing, and leading kitchen operations. You will focus on culinary expertise, food prep, and ensuring quality and consistency across dishes.

Responsibilities include training staff, maintaining recipe standards, health and safety compliance, and optimizing kitchen operations in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of high-volume culinary management experience.
• Has basic computer skills and ability to use scheduling/time-attendance systems.
• Understand POS systems and inventory control systems.
• ServSafe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve company objectives in sales, food quality, presentation and safety through training and leadership.
• Ensure food and products are prepared and served to recipes and standards.
• Comply with health, safety and labor regulations at the restaurant and for guests.
• Demonstrate understanding of business operations and financials.
• Manage shifts, scheduling and planning; create memorable dining experiences; monitor culinary trends.
