V Group Inc. is seeking a Lead Solution Architect – IT/OT for the State of New York DOT TSMO program.

The contract role in Albany (Hybrid) spans up to 24 months and requires directing IT/OT convergence across transportation systems, with a focus on secure, resilient architectures and cross-functional collaboration. The role leads PoCs, provides technical leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, and aligns IT/OT strategies with business goals.

Qualifications

• 84 months of IT/OT architecture/lead systems engineer experience.
• 84 months IT/OT convergence integrating OT with IT/cloud analytics.
• 72 months designing secure OT/IT architectures isolating OT networks.
• 72 months designing/hybrid cloud architectures ingesting real-time data.
• 60 months working with ITS devices (DMS, CCTV, RWIS, vehicle detection).
• 48 months of people management for architects/analysts.
• 48 months vendor evaluation and management with compliance to policies.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Design: develop high-level and detailed IT/OT architectures for transportation systems.
• Technology Evaluation: evaluate and recommend technologies for IT/OT convergence.
• Integration Strategy: define blueprints for IT/OT integration incl data flow and security.
• Security Integration: embed cybersecurity into architecture with network segmentation and access control.
• Performance Optimization: design solutions to improve operations via data.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: work with business, IT, OT, cybersecurity, and vendors.
• Technical Leadership: provide guidance to project teams through lifecycle.
• PoCs/Prototypes: lead development and execution of PoCs.
• Documentation: create architectural diagrams and design rationales.
• Standards/Best Practices: ensure designs comply with standards and regulations.
• Future-Proofing: design adaptable solutions for future tech.
