Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Expert Database Architect to support the NYS Information Technology Services on behalf of the NYS Department of Transportation. The role focuses on designing data infrastructure, managing ODI/ELT/ETL processes, and ensuring secure, scalable solutions.

The candidate will work with agency SMEs, IT teams, and vendors to define requirements, develop architecture, and deliver design reports. Strong debugging, code review, and deployment skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience designing data infrastructure for controlled access.
• Familiarity with SSDLC processes.
• Experience with ODI/ELT/ETL architecture.

Responsibilities

• Interact with agency SMEs, vendors and IT teams to determine and design application and system requirements.
• Design data infrastructure to extract and organize data for authorized access.
• Identify data sources and design storage/organization to support business needs.
• Participate in SSDLC, including debugging and configuring solutions.
• Identify and implement ODI/ELT/ETL architecture improvements.
• Review design deliverables and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Manage build phases and quality assure code for ODI/ELT/ETL compliance.
• Identify and resolve complex design issues and bugs.
• Determine requirements for new databases and installation solutions.
• Publish and present design reports.
• Coordinate with business, vendor and IT teams to meet milestones.
• Audit databases for quality and security.
• Document components of approved solutions including integrations.
• Write clean, testable code and perform system testing and plans.
