Job summary

Mi-Jack Products seeks a Lead Erection Technician to oversee on-site assembly and installation of intermodal heavy equipment, including gantry cranes, at ports and rail yards. You will read electrical and hydraulic schematics, diagnose complex issues, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal reliability.

This role requires 10+ years in heavy equipment, strong mechanical/hydraulic/electrical knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 90% to customer sites while upholding strict

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 10+ years in heavy equipment field preferred, gantry cranes experience advantageous.
• Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assemblies knowledge essential; crane signaling experience desirable.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate on-site records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute onsite assembly and installation of intermodal heavy equipment (gantry cranes).
• Lead the job site and coordinate all activities to ensure timely completion.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics to diagnose and repair systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and OEM-compliant inspections to maximize uptime.
• Serve as primary customer point of contact for equipment requests and safety compliance.
