Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking an Integrations Engineer to connect the AI/agentic platform to enterprise systems, tools, and data sources, delivering production‑ready integrations.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable connectivity, authentication patterns, and collaboration across platform, product, data and security teams to embed AI capabilities into day‑to‑day workflows. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Info Systems/Software Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of software/enterprise integrations experience.
• Design and implement API-based integrations in enterprise environments.
• Experience with MCP, A2A and service-to-service patterns.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
• Experience with OAuth, OIDC, SSO and token management.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable production services.
• Strong cross-team collaboration and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain integrations between the AI/agentic platform and enterprise systems.
• Implement secure, scalable connectivity patterns for AI agents and workflows.
• Develop integrations using MCP, A2A, APIs, webhooks, and event‑driven architectures.
• Create reusable connectors and middleware for onboarding new tools.
• Collaborate with platform, product, data, security, and enterprise teams to meet requirements.
• Design authentication and authorization patterns for integrated AI services.
