Job summary

Vertex Inc. is seeking an Integrations Engineer for the Agentic AI Platform to design, implement, and maintain secure integrations across enterprise systems and third-party tools. You will ensure AI capabilities are production-ready and embedded into day‑to‑day workflows.

The role emphasizes MCP/A2A protocols, APIs, and event-driven architectures, with a focus on secure, scalable, and observable integrations aligned with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise integrations.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing API-based integrations in enterprise environments.
• Experience with MCP, A2A, service-to-service patterns.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
• Experience with OAuth, OIDC, SSO and token-based security.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain integrations between the AI/agentic platform and enterprise systems and tools.
• Implement secure, scalable connectivity patterns enabling AI agents to access data and trigger actions.
• Develop and support integrations using MCP, A2A, APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Create reusable connectors, middleware components, and service patterns for onboarding new tools.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and business alignment.
