Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator - Lead at Ross Heart Hospital to oversee instrument processing, sterilization, and tray assembly across the enterprise. The role ensures sterile, functioning equipment is delivered to the point of use for surgeries.

You will lead training for CSS Technicians, enforce clinical standards, and contribute to process improvement across multiple reprocessing sites, including 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire.
• Associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
• 4 years of relevant experience required; 6+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments to facilitate case flow.
• Assist with case cart assembly, decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of reprocessed inventory.
• Monitor OR schedule to ensure instrumentation is processed and delivered without delay.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between ORs and CSS offsite locations to track instrumentation across the Enterprise.
• Provide orientation for CSS Technicians and Instrumentation Coordinators, and drive standards and policy compliance.
