Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks a Lead Instrumentation Coordinator to ensure sterilized instrumentation is prepared, sterilized, and delivered aseptically for surgeries. You will act as the clinical liaison between the Operating Rooms and CSS offsite locations and standardize instrument trays across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include monitoring the OR schedule, coordinating tray movement, and providing clinical orientation to CSS Technicians and Instrumentation Coordinators.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT certification required within 6 months of hire.
• 4+ years of relevant experience required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sterilize, install, assemble, and clean clinic/hospital equipment for surgeries and procedures.
• Ensure sterilized instrumentation is packaged and delivered aseptically to the point of use.
• Serve as clinical liaison between Operating Rooms and CSS offsite locations to track and allocate instruments.
• Monitor OR schedule to ensure instrumentation is processed and delivered without delay.
• Coordinate tray movement logistics and standardize instrument trays across the enterprise.
• Provide clinical orientation for CSS Technicians and Instrumentation Coordinators; ensure adherence to policies.

Education

CRCST or CSPDT certification (CBSPD) requirement

4+ years relevant experience

6+ years preferred
