Job summary

CDW LLC. is seeking a Lead Instructional Designer in Tempe, AZ to steer complex learning and enablement programs from needs analysis to evaluation.

You will partner with senior leaders to shape development initiatives that align with CDW’s goals, leveraging modern learning tools and AI-enabled workflows. The role requires 7+ years in instructional design, deep expertise in learning technologies, and a track record of delivering measurable improvements in learner performance and business

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
7 years’ experience in instructional design or related field.
In-depth knowledge of learning technologies, AI-enabled tools, and evaluation methodologies.
Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead program management for complex learning and enablement initiatives from needs assessment through implementation and evaluation.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and translate needs into organizational improvements.
Research and apply best practices in instructional design, AI-enabled learning, and project management to improve processes.
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives with governance, risk, and resource coordination.
Measure learner outcomes and business impact, advising on gaps and reinforcement strategies.
Write and present recommendations, proposals and business reviews for executives.
Mentor instructional design team members and promote best practices and AI-enabled workflows.
Evaluate external vendors to tailor materials for CDW needs.
Continuously develop skills and adopt emerging learning technologies.
Design innovative learning experiences using AI-enabled tools to boost engagement and retention.
Maintain curriculum governance and lifecycle management with SMEs.
Identify opportunities for program improvements and build business cases.
Travel up to 10%.
