Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Specialized Instructional Coach (Speech and Language Therapist BCBA) in its Student Services division. The role focuses on building capacity to implement evidence-based practices, including ABA and VB, at an advanced level across designated sites.

The position involves lead consultancy, coaching staff, data-driven decision making, and training in EBPs. Location is IU Countywide; salary scales apply for years 2026-27 with placement based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, or Communication Sciences and Disorders is required.
• PDE Speech & Language Pathologist Instructional Certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in implementation of ABA (Verbal behavior experience, preferred).
• BCBA Certification or in process of completing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead consultant to staff to implement specialized instructional strategies.
• Develop plans for skill development with staff and provide modeling and feedback.
• Provide individualized coaching to staff on evidence-based practices.
• Use data-driven insights to adjust instructional approaches.
• Provide consult notes to stakeholders based on observations and data.
• Conduct program site reviews through document reviews and interviews.
• Facilitate training sessions on ABA and Verbal Behavior.
• Provide resources on evidence-based practices to staff and families.
