Job summary

Planes is seeking a Lead Installer to build and transform modern office environments. You will work with modular furniture systems, assemble, install, and reconfigure cubicles and workstations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Lead installers collaborate with project managers, deliver on schedule, and provide leadership on site. The role requires reading blueprints, lifting up to 75 pounds, and a team-focused mindset. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL or Chauffeur's License required.
• Minimum 1 year of lead experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and take precise measurements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work safely.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience operating a box truck or straight truck preferred.
• Professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams on commercial furniture installation projects.
• Install and assemble modular furniture systems, cubicles, and workstations.
• Measure accurately to ensure proper fit and professional installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and layout drawings.
• Unbox, inspect, and stage furniture and materials for installation.
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
• Apply mechanical knowledge to ensure proper and secure assembly.
• Modify furniture components to fit custom layouts and design requirements.
• Assist with workstation power connections and cable management.
• Perform light carpentry and furniture adjustments when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete installations efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with commercial relocations, deliveries, and staging activities as needed.

About the Role

As a Lead Installer, you'll play a key role in building and transforming modern office environments. Working with modular furniture systems, you'll help create functional and inspiring workspaces for commercial clients.

Required Screening
