Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking an Inkjet Application Engineer to advance a production-ready printing platform for flexible electronics, including RF/microwave components. You will optimize inkjet systems, resolve hardware/software challenges, and drive milestones with minimal supervision.

Required are 7+ years in inkjet or additive manufacturing, plus 2+ years in electronic/RF contexts; a strong background in printhead tech, waveform tuning, and metrology will be essential. U.S.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of inkjet application development or additive manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years in electronic, electrical, or RF/microwave components.
• Experience with piezoelectric and thermal printhead technology and waveform tuning.
• Ability to troubleshoot printers and refine print files with standard tools.
• Familiarity with motion control, digital imaging, and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for print quality and requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune printing waveforms.
• Define customer requirements and prepare prototypes and cost estimates.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on electronics substrates.
• Support DoD and government research contracts with technical input.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues for field service teams and subcontractors.
• Identify printing and product risks and implement corrective actions.
• Visit customers, develop work plans, and align capabilities with needs.
• Train customer engineers and document design work and reports.
• Use field data to guide R&D and suppliers in reducing time and cost.
