Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners seeks an Inkjet Application Engineer to transition an advanced printing platform from R&D to production for flexible electronics. You will optimize inkjet and micro-pen delivery systems, troubleshoot hardware/software, and drive milestones for electronic components in defense and commercial markets.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in inkjet/app development, with expertise in piezo- and thermal printheads, waveform tuning, and metrology.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in inkjet application development or additive manufacturing.
• 2+ years focused on electronic, electrical, or RF/microwave components.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial inkjet systems, including piezoelectric and thermal printhead technology, waveform tuning.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial printers, debugging complex hardware and software issues, and refining print files.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for print quality and customer requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision components.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune waveforms for flexible and RF/microwave electronics.
• Collaborate with sales to define customer requirements and prepare prototypes and cost estimates.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on specialized electronics substrates.
• Support DoD and government research contracts with technical insights and demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot fluidic, hardware, software, and integration issues for field teams and subcontractors.
• Identify printing and product performance risks and implement defect-free solutions.
• Visit customer sites, develop work plans, and adapt capabilities to needs.
