Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking an Inkjet Application Engineer to advance a production-ready printing platform for flexible electronics. You will optimize inkjet and micro-pen delivery systems, resolve hardware and software challenges, and drive milestones for electronic and RF/microwave components used in defense and commercial applications.

Qualifications

7+ years of inkjet application development or additive manufacturing experience.
At least 2 years on electronic, electrical, or RF/microwave components.
Strong knowledge of piezoelectric and thermal printhead technology.
Experience with waveform tuning and fluid rheology.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software for industrial printers.

Responsibilities

Test inks, printheads, and substrates for quality, cycle time, and customer needs.
Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision electronics.
Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune waveforms for flexible and RF/microwave devices.
Collaborate with sales to define requirements and provide prototypes and cost estimates.
Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on electronics substrates.
Support DoD and government contracts with proposals and demonstrations.
Troubleshoot fluidic, hardware, and software issues for field teams and subcontractors.
Identify risks and implement solutions for defect-free components.
Visit customer sites, develop work plans, and adapt capabilities to needs.
Monitor progress against objectives and authorize work.
Train customer engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
Document designs and prepare reports, guides, procedures.
Use field data to guide R&D and suppliers to reduce time and cost.
