Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. seeks an Inkjet Application Engineer to transfer an advanced printing platform from R&D into production for flexible electronics and RF/microwave components.

You will optimize inkjet and micro‑pen delivery, resolve hardware and software challenges, and drive milestones for electronic systems. You will collaborate with engineering and customer teams, perform proof‑of‑concept tests, and contribute to proposals and technical reports while ensuring quality and timely

Qualifications

• 7+ years in inkjet application development or additive manufacturing.
• Experience with electronic, electrical, or RF/microwave components.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for print quality and requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune printing waveforms.
• Define customer requirements with sales and configure custom printing solutions.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on electronics substrates.
• Support DoD and government research contracts with technical input and demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot fluidic, hardware, software, and integration issues for field teams.
• Identify risks and implement defect‑free solutions.
• Visit customer sites, develop work plans, and adapt capabilities to needs.
• Monitor progress against objectives and timelines.
• Train customer teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Document design work and prepare reports and SOPs.
• Use field data to guide internal R&D and suppliers.
