Job summary

Henderson Group in Georgia is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Supervisor to oversee daily molding operations in a startup facility operating first and second shifts. You will lead production, support equipment startup, and uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on leadership, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to establish and improve processes in a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in injection molding operations with hands-on troubleshooting
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, molds, robotics, and auxiliary equipment
• Proven ability to identify/correct molding defects and improve cycle times
• Working knowledge of thermoplastic materials, resin handling, and material controls
• Experience supporting startups, equipment installations, or new processes preferred
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily injection molding operations and ensure schedules, quality, and efficiency goals are met
• Provide direction, training, and technical support to production personnel
• Oversee machine setups, startups, mold changes, and changeovers to minimize downtime
• Monitor production performance, cycle times, material usage and process consistency
• Support development and implementation of SOPs in the startup facility
• Monitor and optimize process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cooling, cycle time)
• Troubleshoot defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, weld lines
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce scrap and maintain product quality
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Tooling to resolve equipment/mold-related issues
• Ensure handling, drying, blending, and traceability of materials; enforce safety and quality standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and waste reduction
• Assist with training, process documentation, and operational improvements as production expands
