Job summary

Amcor in Lawrence, KS seeks an experienced Machine Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily activities of the maintenance department, directing repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of injection molding machines. You will provide leadership, training, and guidance to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable machine performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Dependable with a good work history and takes responsibility for work performed.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work around grease, oils, and solvents.
• Able to operate in a production environment and recognize alarms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a front-line leader for the Machine Maintenance Department.
• Direct and perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on injection molding machines.
• Investigate equipment issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Stay informed on production priorities and communicate updates to the MM team.
• Share necessary technical information with team members.
• Pursue training opportunities to improve maintenance capabilities.
• Assist department personnel in obtaining technical training.
• Motivate team to identify and implement uptime improvements.
• Facilitate administrative processes, documentation, and training coordination.
• Take control of equipment during potential injury or abnormal deterioration.
• Lead safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment.
