Job summary

Amcor LLC in Kansas is seeking a Molding Technician to set up, operate, and maintain molding equipment, ensuring molds are clean, installed correctly, and ready for production. You will troubleshoot basic mold issues, verify nozzle lengths, and confirm electrical, water, and air hookups are leak-free.

You will document maintenance, assist with mold repairs, support Tool Room staff, and keep workspaces safe and organized.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in a technically challenging environment and ability to select the correct tool for a task.
Prior injection molding experience preferred, with ability to identify mold components and terminology.

Responsibilities

Operate molding presses and open/close molds for production needs and repairs.
Set, pull, clean, and inspect molds for proper installation and readiness.
Troubleshoot basic mold-related issues and verify nozzle length, carriage settings, clamp stops, and safety features.
Confirm electrical, water, and air hookups function properly and test molds for performance before release.
Clean, wire, and maintain mold heaters and components as needed.
Maintain mold maintenance records with dates and responsible personnel.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; assist with repairs and report damaged molds to Tooling leadership.
Green-tag molds meeting production-ready standards and complete inspections as required.
