Qualifications

• At least 7 years as an Infrastructure or Software Engineer.
• Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet, Chef, Ansible) – Puppet used here.
• Solid Linux administration and scripting skills (Ruby, Bash).
• Familiarity with modern programming and design principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve BigCommerce’s Development Environment with containerized services.
• Manage cloud hosted VMs in Google Cloud Platform.
• Automate repetitive manual processes.
• Document architecture and features; educate engineers on tooling.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and participate in on-call rotation.
