Job summary

Celebree School of The Woodlands Creekside is seeking a Lead Infant Teacher to care for infants 6 weeks to 12 months, providing primary care, safety, and early learning in a nurturing classroom.

You will lead classroom staff, partner closely with families, and uphold licensing, health, and safety requirements for non-mobile and early-mobile infants while supporting developmentally appropriate activities.

Qualifications

• Meets state requirements for a lead infant teacher.
• Demonstrated experience caring for infants under 12 months with understanding of cues and early development.
• Current infant/child CPR and First Aid and any state-required health/safety trainings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with families and coworkers and collaborate as part of a professional team.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant supervision and maintain required ratios; ensure safe sleep and routines.
• Perform caregiving routines (diapering, feeding, soothing) with best-practice hygiene.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities (tummy time, floor play, reading, songs).
• Observe and document infants’ cues and milestones and share updates with families.
• Maintain a clean, organized environment and support daily routines.
• Build relationships with families through daily communication and reports; administer medication if needed.
• Lead and mentor assistant staff and ensure policy alignment.
• Follow licensing standards and curriculum guidelines for infants.
