Job Description

We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated Infant-Toddler Teacher to join our passionate team at our center located in the vibrant Discovery District of downtown Columbus, Ohio. This position offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and early childhood education to infants and toddlers during their most formative years.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment that supports the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of infants and toddlers.
  2. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and experiences that promote exploration, discovery, and learning in all areas of development.
  3. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and families, maintaining open communication and partnership in each child's learning journey.
  4. Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures, including diapering, feeding, and naptime routines, to ensure the well-being of each child in your care.
  5. Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones, using assessments to inform individualized planning and goal-setting.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment, sharing ideas, resources, and best practices in early childhood education.
  7. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field of early childhood education.
Qualifications:
  1. Degree in Early Education Field or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required.
  2. Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting.
  3. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants and toddlers, including an understanding of attachment theory and responsive caregiving.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with children, parents, and colleagues.
  5. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and communications.
  7. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
