Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician for a fast-growing food processing plant in Blue Island, IL. The role involves hands-on maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across three shifts, with a focus on 480V equipment and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food/chemical environments, MIG/STICK welding, and CMMS usage, and will support continuous improvement initiatives in a lean, kaizen-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
• Industrial plant maintenance and troubleshooting in food/chemical environments preferred.
• OSHA and LOTO knowledge and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical and electrical systems across a three-shift plant.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, including 480V equipment.
• Weld (MIG and stick), fabricate, and rig as needed.
• Install and service pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, screens, and tanks.
• Use SCADA, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation to locate faults.
• Complete PM work in CMMS and keep records updated.
• Enforce LOTO, confined space, hot work, and OSHA rules.
• Assist maintenance manager in planning and prioritizing work.
• Be the go-to person on the shift when something breaks.
